Hermès Kelly 25 Sellier Epsom Vert Jade

The Kelly bag is considered the epitome of style, elegance and timeless glamour. This 2021 Kelly Sellier 25 is offered in new condition and is entirely made in Vert Jade epsom leather with gold hardware and has same tone stitching, a front flap, two straps with centre closure, a clochette with lock and keys, single leather handle and a removable shoulder strap.

Originally launched in 1930 as Sac à Dépêches, It became an international IT bag when legendary Hollywood actress and Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly used it to hide her early pregnancy from the press and the photographers. Informally known for years as the Hermes Kelly bag, it was officially rebranded by the company only in the late 70’s.

Every Kelly bag is hand sewn by skilled artisans using luxurious leathers and palladium or gold-plated hardware. Hermes Kelly bags are available in two main models: the Sellier being the more structured and classic style, while the Retourne has a more casual and relaxed design.

The smallest Kelly is the 20cm, also called the Mini Kelly II. The bigger sizes range from the 25cm and the 28cm, which can carry all day-time or evening essentials, to the spacious 32cm and the 35cm models that can easily be used as travel bags as well as work and day bags. The Kelly Cut and Kelly Pochette are popular as an evening clutch.
