This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept ‘Piece Unique’ watch was commissioned in 2002 to celebrate the 30th anniversary to the Royal Oak originally released in 1972. To further make this celebratory time piece stand out from the crowd the movement was created by famed complication specialist Renaud et Papi. Released in 2002 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept CW1 26081AI.OO.D003SU.15 the 44mm case is made of Alacrite 602 an innovative alloy comprising of cobalt, chrome, tungsten, silicone and iron.

The movement, as mentioned was created by Renaud et Papi features a three arm, red tourbillon solid balance bridge spanning the top and bottom of the dial side to secure the tourbillon-equipped escapement, a ‘dynamographe’ showing the quality of the torque on the mainspring, a unique linear power reserve & a function selection indicator secured with a carbon fibre base plate. Limited to only 15 pieces world wide, each of which have unique features based on the boutique it was commissioned for. To the rear of the watch is a ‘Piece Unique’ engraving visible through the watches glass case back.
